Ulema and Members of Hilal Council of Canada met at Masjid Darus Salaam on 24th June 2017 (29th of Ramadan) and is pleased to announce in accordance with principle of Ittehadul Matalee ( Global Sighting), hilal has been sighted in Saudi Arabia and South America (Guyana, Chile and Trinidad). After proper verification on information received on hilal sighting, the hilal for Shawwal has been confirmed as sighted and accordingly Eid-ul Fitr will be Insha'Allah, on Sunday, June 25,2017.

May Allah accept our fasting, prayers and our charity in this blessed month of Ramadan and alleviate the sufferings throughout the ummah and unite us all. A'meen.
