The Hilal Council of Canada received confirmed reports of sightings of the new crescent for the month of Muharram. Therefore  the 1st of Muharram, 1442 will be on Thursday, August 20, 2020 insha'Allah. Based on this, Aashuraa' will be on Saturday, August 29, 2020.

We pray Allah blesses this new year bring all forms of blessing for entire Ummah and that Allah allow us to use these blessed days in doing as many good deeds as possible, 'Āmīn.
