The Hilal Council of Canada received no confirmed reports of sightings of the new crescent. Therefore Saturday August 31, 2019 is the 30th of Dhul Hijjah,1440 and the 1st of Muharram, 1441 will be on Sunday, September 1, 2019 insha'Allah. May Allah bless the entire Ummah in this blessed month & allow us to use these 1st 10 days in doing as many good deeds as possible, 'Āmīn.
