Salām Everyone, 

Alhamdulillah, yesterday, Wednesday March 27 2019, the Crescent Committee and the Hilal Council of Canada signed a Memorandum of Understanding to work together in declaring the beginning of each new lunar month in order to reduce the differences in the Muslim community and pave the way to greater unity. 

Both committees have agreed to benefit from the expertise of each party and promote unity in the community to the best of their ability.

We pray that Allāh accept these efforts and assists us all in creating and leaving behind a harmonious Muslim community in Canada. Āmīn.
